Tray (M) Leaves Smoky Quartz

This leaf-shaped tray is part of the Resonance collection. Each piece is unique thanks to the handmade process.

The small compartments are perfect for giving your rings or earrings a little place of their own. Or simply display it - even without anything in it, this little leaf has plenty of character.

Warm ochre yellow is combined with genuine smoky quartz, terrazzo and sand from Zeeland, a coastal province in the Netherlands. The smoky tones complement the taupe, brown and terracotta terrazzo chips beautifully. And of course, a very subtle touch of copper flakes couldn’t be left out.

A high-gloss sealer adds depth to the colour and brings out the natural details.

A little fun fact: smoky quartz is associated with grounding, release and balance. And that fits Cairns perfectly: between chaos and balance.

I work with a water-based composite material. A considered choice, and a pleasure to work with.
