Resonance

In various little shops, I bought clear quartz, picture jasper and amazonite. Online, I also found smoky quartz and rainbow moonstone. Moonstone is my all-time favourite. I can’t quite explain it, but that bluish glow you see when the light catches it just right is simply beautiful.

Smoky quartz became the first stone in Resonance. I was already experimenting with ochre and terrazzo, and the stone’s warm, smoky tones were a perfect match. That’s how the first combination came about: Smoky Quartz with ochre terrazzo.

For Resonance, I work with genuine stones, combining them with colours and techniques you may already recognise, such as speckles and marbling. Terrazzo is new to my collection. The shapes, colours and stones each bring something of their own. When designing, I look for the combination that just feels right.

De naam Resonance The name Resonance refers to the physical phenomenon of resonance, associated with vibration and reverberation. Gemstones have long been attributed particular energies or vibrations. For me, resonance lies mainly in the interplay between the stone, the colour, the material and the handmade finish. I find the symbolic meanings of the stones a lovely extra layer, but aesthetics take centre stage.

You choose a piece from this collection because it strikes a chord, feels right for you and leaves a lasting impression in your home. As each piece is cast by hand, the placement of the stones and the patterns vary every time. This makes every piece unique.
